but, its maybe not possible

I don't think this is true. I can play a whole lot more sounds with VST (on my pc sound card) than I can with MIDI (to my piano keyboard).Hans wrote:Roughly speaking, VST and MIDI are just two different interfaces to a soft synth.
False, not the main difference. Many more sounds with VST. See above. The main difference is that VST allows you to program the sound from within the application.
How much do they cost? I want to be able to use my pc sound card, and need to know the total cost of EarMaster.EarMaster does not support the VST interface, but there a also many great soft synths that connects through MIDI.
MIDI is just the for communication, midi doesn't play the sound itself. The sound is played by an instrument that recieves the MIDI information, that instrument can be a physical device (like a soundcard) or a virtual one (like vst's).Anonymous wrote: I don't think this is true. There are free solutions that allow you to use vst's with EarMaster, I explained how to do it in this forum some time ago, check my reply in this thread:Anonymous wrote: How much do they cost? I want to be able to use my pc sound card, and need to know the total cost of EarMaster.
