Hi everyone.........!
I have recently bought earmaster to help pass an exam.
The exam is next year and I must have a relative ear in order to succeed.
Although I play the guitar for more than ten years, I am almost null in relative pitch.
How long do you guys think it will be necessary to master it?
Do you think one year is enough?
How long will it take

Working on a daily basis for 5-20 minutes with EarMaster can only help you master relative pitch.
Now how good you will become depend on several things: how fast your ear and brain are responding to the training, how musch time you spend on ear training, etc.
On top of training with EarMaster, it is important to challenge your ear in "real life" situations too, like in the rehearsal or with recordings. It will be a good indicator of how much progress you accomplish.

Like I said it depends on many things so it can't be quantified that way (unless a scholar makes a study on how fast you get relative pitch in average with EarMaster).
Usually, people already feel good results after only a couple of weeks, and it only gets better after that , so hang on. One year leaves a lot of time to train your ear and get it fine-tuned.
