How to request sight-singing exercises with ties and 16th notes?

Post by x19290 »

Hello everyone,

I'm currently practicing sight-singing in EarMaster, and I'd like to focus on exercises that specifically include ties and 16th notes.

Could anyone advise on how to:

1. Generate or find existing exercises in EarMaster that prominently feature these elements?
2. Adjust the difficulty settings or exercise parameters to ensure a good number of ties and 16th notes appear?
3. Are there any specific courses or custom exercise settings that are best suited for this?

I'm looking to improve my rhythm and melodic accuracy with these more complex rhythmic figures.
Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help.

You can select 16th notes as well as special patterns that include 16th notes when configuring a custom exercise. In Sight-Singing exercises, ties are available when working with scores from the score library (on Desktop only currently)

Use EarMaster’s Custom Exercises, enable 16th notes & ties in rhythm settings to practice them often

It’s surprising how many users shared tips for customizing practice plans! For example, adjusting the intensity of rhythm training based on instrument type, and even uncovering the software’s hidden ‘mistake review’ feature.
This melody reminds me of the old days, and reminds me of using the music generator from https://goaimusic.com/. I highly recommend giving it a try.
