I am having the same problems. I was using an app prior to this program and
have all the intervals nearly 100%, ascending and descending. The harmonic
intervals are worse than chance. The thing that is throwing me off is when
they vary the harmonic interval by changing the note a half step above or
below the common tone. Kind of like descending verses ascending. This
makes hearing the increase in tone verses decrease in tone impossible. I
would love some advice too.
Thanks

hey soo we are not the only one
i have special problem minor 3rd and major 3rd.... harmonic
ik can get it when i repeat and "sing" the chord accending in my mind and even then i get it wrong sometimes... the acc. desc. i get in a second
i think you should hear/feel instantly wich interval is bigger
maybe it's only learned by repetition ??
you can try what i do... repeat it and try to hear/ sing the 2 tones after eachother... and match it with my interval example song... this way i reached 90%
hope it helps, jacco

Switching activities if things only get worse and you're losing focus is definitely the way to go. As for identifying harmonic intervals, there are a few tips that might help you:
* Sing the intervals melodically after hearing them played harmonically.
* If a few of the intervals are consistently problematic, try to create a customized activity with those, and select "Melodic+Harmonic" for the execution, so that you get to link both types of execution to the interval in question.
