Hi,
EarMaster is indeed an ear trainer, i.e. it is mainly made for practice and training, not so much for learning the theory behind.
If you are interested in learning music theory, I would recommend that you have a look a theory method and/or enroll at a music theory course before starting ear training. Many serious publishers such as Alfred Publ. or Berklee Press have very useful music theory guides in their catalogues, so that might be a good starting point.
