Hi, I use windows XP and Earmaster Essential and my microphone is greyed out even though it detects levels in the uning wizard and shows pitches correctly while using the tuning wizard. It is greyed out in all exercises, cutomized and tutor. I have a Sony ECM-MS907 mic. Thank you!

It seems your question has already been answered by e-mail, so I'll quickly mention here for the forum users that the solution to that issue was to deactivate "Evaluate Note length" in the rhythm Reading exercise, under the Exercise Settings menu.
