Metronome is not working properly

Hi,

I have a problem with the metronome in EarMaster, the beat is not regular!
I have recorded the sound and checked the beating and it is wrong. The processor and the memory are not overloaded so I guess there must be some trouble with my internal sound card. I use a HP Compaq 6710b laptop. Already tried to reinstall audio drivers but it didn't work.

Anyone having this problem? Any solutions? Thanks in advance,
