microphone input

microphone set up is fine and the mic works on several exercises, but the mic option is greyed out in the answer input menu on rhythm reading and imitation, so I cannot use it for these exercises.

Hi,
Perhaps you are experiencing this while practising with Customized exercises where EarMaster is set to evaluate the length of the notes? (in which case the Microphone input can't be used). You can see if it's the case in the customized Exercise dialog box by clicking on Exercise Control Settings. The "Evaluate Note Length" shouldn't be "forced" if you want to use a microphone with the rhythm exercises.
