Answer input

I cannot get my microphone to work with Ear Master. I can run the Microphone tuning wizard, and that works o/k, so the program knows that I have a Mic. connected. but when I try to use it for answer input in say, Rhythm Reading, the microphone input (f12) is grayed out.

I have read through other threads about the same problem to no avail
Hope someone can help.

The option "Evaluate note length" in the exercise settings menu is probably activated.
Unselect the option to have the microphone as an answer input method again.
