Upgrade & rhythm recognition delay on space

First off, This ear training product is simply amazing. You are the man

The Upgrade: I bought your previous version of this product about a year or so ago. I bought the download version. Didn't know enough about computers on how to save the program to a disk for back up, Don't know if that's even possible anyway. Of course, the unthinkable happened and my computer got a virus, everything was trashed.
Starting from scratch, I still do have the origional pin#/serial# and I'm prepared to purchase the new version Earmaster 5. The general term of "upgrade" kind of confuses me. If I buy #5 in a box, I get a disk that I put into the computer, download the software, and the disk will be my back up. Correct???

The Delay: If my computer is not fast enough to process information in time to answer the earmaster rhythm drills correctly, please give me an alternative to correct this problem as inexpensively as possible.

that's right for the disk. I bought the CD and I can instal it as often as I want. Once I installed it, I have to run a update check only.

If you have purchased EarMaster directly from us or you have registered your serial number with us, then we keep your registration details on file. If you loose your serial number then you can always contact us to get it again.

You can also always download the installation program again. EarMaster 4 is for example still available from this page:
http://www.earmaster.com/support/old.htm

Of course I still recommend that you upgrade to EarMaster 5, but you should do it because you like all the new features and not because you think you have lost your license

I see I forgot to answer your "Delay" question:

Even a Pentium 100 MHz should be fast enough to run the rhythm drills. If your computer is not fast enough then the only solution is to buy a faster computer.
I believe the actually problem is a delay in your sound card. This means the clap will sound some time after you hit the space bar. This is a common problem with many soundcards, and EarMaster can compensate for that. Please read the FAQ:
