microphone not detected

Post by dorstlesser »

When connecting USB headphones, I keep getting the message that Earmaster can not use the selected device as microphone input. Is there anything I can do about this?

I think it's a problem with iOs, because Voice Recorder also does not work after plugging in the USB headphones.

It could also sound like a problem with the USB headphones. Are they advertised to run on iOS?

Yes. However I’ve been googling a bit and it is known problem with iOS apparently where USB headphones will disable the microphone until the system is rebooted. It’s something Apple needs to solve, and not a big issue luckily; I can borrow a pair of my wife’s Bluetooth headphones :) However I’m having a different issue with EarMaster unexpectedly reporting that ‘Singback is paused’ in the middle of exercises, which then does not allow me to proceed. I’ll make a separate thread for that though and this one can be closed.
