It seems to me the choice of this material was out of the blue. The module is Rhythmic Subdivisions but the melody is so range-y and unfamiliar, introducing the 7th leading tone without any preparation, that it has got me frustrated and discouraged. Has anybody else encountered trouble with this section? I'd like to hear what people are doing to pass through this level before just skipping and moving on.

Even though we answered your email about this, I'm writing my answer here as well.

You are right that the melody introduces a new tone that wasn't covered before. This is a mistake and we will fix it in an update by changing the activity of this lesson.
