Distinguishing inverted diminished cords?

Can someone please share with me a tip on how to hear the difference between the root, first, and second inversion diminished cords?

Really, they all sound the same to me. I don't want to feel like I will never understand the difference in sound. Possibly the reason I struggle with it is, for the first and second inversion, there is an aug4 interval and a minor six interval, so they would sound a lot alike.

If anyone can tell me how they can tell the difference, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks.

What I do, is to try to find the lower note first. It's more easy to find the lowest one than the others
