Suggestion: New "Auto new question" option.

Post by Mato Grosso »

Hi.
The "Auto new question" is a great feature, it helps a lot on focusing on your exercises a without being distracted by the need of pressing F5 every time just to get a new question, which is a little bit annoying.

Actually you can choose three options:
1 - "Disabled": It forces you to press F5 to get a new question. I never use this option
2 - "If score above threshold": Great idea: you can repeat the "difficult" questions, but it also forces you to press F5 or to click on "New Question" icon to repeat questions
3 - "Always": it allows the user to concentrate on answering questions without the need of pressing F5, but you can't repeat the difficult questions.

The thing is I love the idea of repeating the difficult questions, because you can focus your attention on the aspects that are more difficult to you, but I hate having to press F5 each time I want to repeat a question because it distracts my attention from the exercises. So I suggest a fourth option for the "Auto New Question" feature:

4 - "Always, but repeat the last question if score above threshold", which would be perfect to me.

And maybe, a fifth one:

5 - "Always, but make a similar question to the last one, if score above threshold", which would repeat the last question with one or two elements changed, and which would be also great.

Thanks.

Hi

Thanks a lot for your feedback. This is a very interesting suggestion. I have forwarded it to Hans (the lead developer of EarMaster).
