Melodic Dictation / Melody Imitation with the Pentatonics

Post by bparham79 »

Hi Everyone,

I've been using Ear Master Pro 6 everyday for the past 45-days, and I've noticed a dramatic improvement in my singing, transcribing, and improvisational skills.

That being said, I would love to see the Major and Minor Pentatonics available for Melodic Dictation and Melody Imitation in the Standard Tutor Mode. As a blues, rock, and R & B guitarist, these are the scales most often heard in vocal and guitar lines.

Is there a way to use the Pentatonics in the Ear Master Melody section, or am I stuck with the major scale and subsequent modes?

No replies??? Nobody is interested in improving their recognition of pentatonic melodies?

Hi,

The generated melodies can also be based on the pentatonic scale. Though they are not used in the Standard course, you can simply use the customized activity to enable it.
