Pitch matching

Post by mathgorilla »

Is it possible to set up an exercise like this?

Play a note from the group c d e f g and then I have to decide which note was just played. I don't want intervals, I just want to be able to match the pitch after I specify which notes I want. I have tried setting this up through melodic dictation but it doesn't work the way I want it to.

Thanks.

In the melodic dictation exercise, you can define in which scale the questions will be. If you only want C, D, E, etc., you can choose Major scale in the Key of C, and select only 1 tone as the number of tones per question.

EarMaster will then play one tone, and you will have to match it by clicking on the correct key on the piano, on the staff, or on the guitar fretboard.
