I've read the comparison, but I'm still not sure if I need any more than the Essential version. (And I realize that the upgrade from Essential to Pro is not too much more expensive.)
Is the Pro version more useful for people who play for a living, or who are vocalists?
Essential vs Pro?

EarMaster Essential will train you in Intervals, chords and rhythm reading. With Pro, you will be able to train other areas that all musicians can benefit from: scales, rhythm imitation, melodic dictation, etc.
EM Pro is not aimed at a particular audience, it is simply more advanced and comprehensive. Essential is therefore a great choice for the beginner or the user who only wants to focus on the essential aspects of ear training.
