Some people are quite enthusiastic by nature and they tend to overdo things. They get off for an impressive start, but they don't have the stamina to keep it up. I've seen that in online games that goes beyond 3-4 weeks, but I guess that goes for ear training too?

Don't push your ear too hard. Let it develop over time. Progress will continue. If you seem to get stuck in one aspect of ear training maybe you should try training something else? But don't kill your ear 8-o

There is a reason why ear training is taught on so many music schools and the like. Try doing an .edu search on Google and you'll see what I mean.

If I want to learn English, why should I be able to understand people when they talk in English? I can read, I can write, so in order to learn English, I can stick to books, there's no need to know what people is saying when I hear them.

It does'n makes a lot of sense, does it? It's the same with music.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand you. If you are learning English, the very thing you are aiming at is to understand other people and to be able to talk with them. I didn’t really get your point…

I was just trying to started a discussion, because it was a time that people doesn't post and just read what is written. I started few suject but nothing until now. Do you have something that might bring people to talk about?
