Hello,
I would like to know if the loudspeakers and soundcard you use while practising with earmaster do make a difference?
For example, if you have only quite cheap speakers and onboard sound, the pitches and the sound of intervals may sound different in real life and your efforts are therefore futile?
I have noticed that the middle g has a quite different pitch on a real piano and I often get it wrong when it's involved.
Would it be the best to use studio monitors or can you use standard PC-loudspeakers without worries?
please pardon my english

It is of course much more enjoyable to train with a pair of good speakers and realistic sounds, but I don't think it is a requirement. If you have a well-trained ear, you should be able to pick melodies from a phone's ringtone, from TV jingles, or from exotic instruments that you never heard (provided they are compatible with the Western system).
