Hi!
I'm a drummer, and I really want to get better at hearing chord progressions. I'm using Ear Master 5 Pro, and I've tried the jazztutor.
I find it very strange and little useful to use the jazztutor, because you can clearly hear the bass in the chord, because the lowest note is the bassnote.
Is it possible to edit the jazztutor? Or is it already set for good?
I really want to use the tutor function, but I find it useless, because the chord progression part doesn't teach you what you need in reality - you need to know what function the chord has, without being dependent on the bassnote.
Does anyone have an edited jazztutor, or something that can help me? Or do I have to create my own?
Thanks!
Zorlee
Hi! Question about the jazztutor - chord progressions!

Hello Zorlee,
To edit tutors, you need to have EarMaster School (the teacher edition of EarMaster).
The bass note is indeed played for all the Chord Progressions in the Jazz tutor. It's also true that it's a big help and some people might not find it challenging enough.
Write to our support adress (see the "About us" page) and I'll send you the Jazz tutor without the bass note in Chord progressions.
We will soon release a download platform with tutors made by users, so it'll be the place to make such inquiries. Your message only confirms that the community of EarMaster users will enjoy that feature. :--D
