Learning on an Electric Keyboard

I've recently gotten very interested in the piano (damn you parents for not forcing it on me when I was 4!) and got my hands on a crappy electric keyboard. It's nothing special, but it plays; only 49 keys though, lightweight ones. My biggest concern is not the lack of keys, but the fact that they aren't weighted. I'd like to eventually play on an acoustic one, but don't have the space or money for one right now. I am considering getting a weighted key keyboard, but that'll have to wait for at least a month and a half.

So the problem here is that I'm concerned that if I start learning on a light weight key keyboard, I'll really hurt myself when I get to weighted ones and actual pianos. I know that after going from a classical guitar (the one I learned on) to an acoustic, it was a pain for some time, but not all that bad. Would it be the same here? Or would you recommend I wait until the weighted one comes? (I figure there are aspects I can learn without too much actual playing)

And yes, I know this is an EarMaster forum, but I figure that many of you are musicians or at least know a good amount about music. Thanks in advance.
