Suggestion for new feature regarding interval training

Post by PacoJazztorius »

One glaring weakness in my current ear training ability is to be able to clearly hear and then sing the lower note of an interval played harmonically.

One small feature that would help in my training would be the ability to adjust the volume of each of the two notes in the interval.

Right now, the top note overrides the bottom note in my ear and I have a lot of difficulty hearing the lower tone.

If I could adjust the volume of each tone, I could set the upper tone to slightly softer than the lower one (or the lower one louder than the upper one) and allow the tone I'm having trouble hearing stand out more in the initial phases of training. Eventually the tones could be set to the same volume as I become more skilled.

I think this would accelerate my learning in this skill.

It might also be handy in other areas of EM such as hearing specific chord extensions or altered notes in scales, etc.
