Problem with metronom in rythm exercise

Post by mos »

I have the program for a while already, but I cannot get a certain thing changed.

When i'm in the rythm excercise, there is this metronom on top of the excercise. It maked Pling, Plong, Plong, Plong, but the pling always comes on the 2 and not on the 1. That is realy freaking me, since most of the time, i start to late.

Does anybody of you have this problem? It drives me crazy. Rythm is a big problem for me and was one of the main reasons, why I have bought the program. But it is no fun to exercise.

Realy hope you can help me. It has nothing to do with the delay, that I have already fixed (latancy).

I never got that problem. Did you check all the setting to be sure everything is alright?

Yes, the louder count is always on the 2 and not on the 1. I have tried everything.

If you have a different sound for the "1" and make it louder it always comes on the 2. I now have it set up exactly the same as the other counts, so that it wont anoy me that much. But it is still very strange.

Same here

I have a "professional" Soundcard, and I trigger the rythms via an MPC and the audio inputs

I have no latency, but my rhythms are always late...

Faulty sound card

Well, mos, guess there's nothing left than, but the reclamation of the product by the dealer, or an acquisition of a new one. Right?

If the rhythm sound does not match the visual metronome, then there must be a latency when playing MIDI tones.
If for example the latency corresponds to the length of one beat, then the 1st beat will sound when the metronome marks the second beat.

EarMaster can compensate for this in the "Synchronize rhythms" setting in the program settings.
