There's a bug in version 7.9.93 that disabled MIDI IN completely. Fortunately, it's an easy fix, so it'll be back in the 7.9.94 update which is already in beta right now. Apologies for the inconvenience!

LordEagle, have you tried to enable/disable some of the options in EarMaster's Preferences, in the Developer Settings section? Some combinations might work with the WINE configuration you are using. You can select 16th notes as well as special patterns that include 16th notes when configuring a custom exercise. In Sight-Singing exercises, ties are available when working with scores from the score library (on Desktop only currently)
