Re: Latency
Thanks Quentin
Basically I don't think I can run your software on my laptop. I've increased the latency adjustment to 300ms - the maximum value allowed - and I still hear the system generated clap a discernible interval after I've pressed the spacebar.
It's also almost impossible to ever get the ...

Re: Latency
Hi Quentin
There's something not right here.
I am trialling EM6 on a laptop and I especially want to practice my rhythm training but I am finding the software unusable for that purpose due to latency/response lag.
Why do I hear a late clap when I press the spacebar? Why do I need to have a clap ...

Re: Bad days when you can't hear sh*t
@ Trevor
I know exactly what you mean; my ear is so dependent on my mood. Some days I'm like a machine, straight onto the pitch accurately and able to hear even when I'm only a little bit out.
Other days I play the note repeatedly and can't even get close. I think it's a mixture of mood and ...

Re: Rhythmic Sight Reading for Slow Folk
@ TalkstheTalk
I suppose it's also true that with 32nds not many people would be able to tell if you were out of rhythm or not! It would all be a blur like some mad shredding guitarist playing as many notes as they were mechanically able to pick.
With me it's a basic rhythm problem I'm trying to ...

Re: Getting Started - Absolute Beginner
Hi Barrie
I agree with you.
There's not much for absolute beginners to chew on in order to find their way around.
It's proving to be a real problem to me as I can't get my laptop to sync (because it's got a laptop capable processor and shared audio memory like most laptops) which makes any sort ...

Re: Rhythym Reading and Rhythym Imitation
Adjust which way? Up or down? Bigger or smaller?
And what do you mean by the "start the flash/clap"? There is no such button or option I can see.
Synchronisation is such a key element of the rhythm trainer operation and I am frustrated that I can't get it to work.
I press the space bar to ...

Re: Latency
I have the same problem using the trial version of EarMaster 6 on a laptop running Windows 7. I know I am tapping right but I hear an echo clap after I've tapped and I get very low scores. I can't see a reference to buffer size on the Audio tab; there is one on Midi Devices tab but this applies to ...
