Ear master pro 6 keeps crashing ever since i got it and this never happened with number 5. Any ideas?

I am just wondering if there is a way to turn of the green dashes during the rhythmic reading? they are distracting

I currently bought my ear master 5 from a local store, i registered it but never got an email, and every time i try to activate the serial code in the program from the manual, it says its invalid.. any suggestions??
